Maine Event Comedy presents a showcase of New England’s funniest comedians at Johnson Hall, Saturday, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. The show will feature Maine’s Tuck Tucker and Colby Bradshaw, along with Boston’s Mariel Cabral and Janet McNamara.

Tucker’s verbal wit and physical comedy have made him a favorite throughout New England. He’s a founding member of Portland’s Running with Scissors improv group and was a finalist on HBO’s Lucky 21 Comedy Showcase. He’s performed at the Hartford Funny Bone, the Rhode Island Comedy Connection and the Comedy Nest in Montreal.

Cabral is a New England native who delivers a quick wit with brutal honesty. She’s performed in the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, the Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, and as a semi-finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival.

Bradshaw’s charm and deadpan delivery have been on display at New York CIty’s Gotham Comedy Club. He took first place at Empire’s Comedy Winter Classic in Portland and will open for nationally touring comedian Juston McKinney in November.

McNamara, who has appeared on NBC’s ‘American Idol’, has a conversational style and awkwardly charming energy. She won the 2014 BeanTown Comedy Riots and was featured in the Women in Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, and Burbank Comedy Festival.

Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center is located at 280 Water Street in Gardiner. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and may be purchased at www.johnsonhall.org. The show is for ages 21-and-older and doors open at 7 p.m. FMI call (207) 582-7144.
