Maine Event Comedy presents hilarious Los Angeles transplant Brian Brinegar at Somerset Abbey, Friday, November 10 at 7 p.m. The show will also feature Ian Clark, Michele Mortensen, and host Nick Gordon.

Now residing in Gorham, Brinegar was thrice named Maine’s Best Comedian by the Portland Phoenix. He’s worked with Last Comic Standing winner Iliza Shlesinger and was featured on the Comedy Time Network. He’s also performed at the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, the Ice House in Pasadena, and played the bartender in Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” music video.

Clark, a Smithfield, Maine native who graduated from Skowhegan High School, now lives in Concord, NH with his wife and two sons. This will be his first time appearing in the area where he grew up. He was voted New Hampshire’s Best New Comic in 2015 and has performed at Improv Boston, The Comedy Studio, Dick Doherty’s Comedy Den, and Headliners Comedy Club.

An accomplished actress, writer, and musician, Mortensen hails from Hampton, NH and recently competed in New York City’s ‘She-Devil Comedy Festival’. She has appeared at Carolina Comedy Club in Myrtle Beach, Side Splitters in Tampa, and Coconuts in St. Petersburg. She was twice selected to perform in the World Series of Comedy and has opened for Boston legend Lenny Clarke.

New Gloucester’s Gordon has been winning audiences over with his self-deprecating brand of humor and recently competed in the Empire Comedy Summer Classic in Portland.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at or at Pizzarama in Madison. The show is for ages 16-plus and will contain adult language and content.
