Maine Event Comedy presents Massachusetts comedian Brian Plumb at Somerset Abbey, Friday, October 13 at 7 p.m. The show will also feature Adam Hatch, Steve Cloutier, Ali Simpson, and host Mark Turcotte.

Plumb’s confrontational style has made him a favorite throughout New England and beyond. He performed at the Dallas Comedy Festival and was a semi-finalist at the Last Comix Standing contest at Foxwoods Casino. He’s played The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, and NYC’s Greenwich Village Comedy Club.

Hatch was a finalist in Portland’s Funniest Professional contest. He’s worked with Comedy Central’s Juston McKinney and longtime Letterman warm-up act Eddie Brill. He also produces comedy shows at Bear Brew in Orono.

When he’s not overhauling snowmobiles, tractors, and ATVs, Cloutier is on New England stages discussing creative drink concoctions and trying to figure out the strange beings we call ‘Mainers’.

Brash and unapologetic, yet likable, Simpson is a familiar face in the Portland scene and is set to make her Madison debut.

Turcotte was selected for the Boston, Cleveland, and North Carolina comedy festivals, and recently performed at New York City’s Gotham Comedy Club.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at or at Pizzarama in Madison. The show is for ages 16-plus and will contain adult language and content. Attendees under age 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Food, soft drinks, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. Somerset Abbey is located at 98 Main Street, Madison.
