Ian StuartMaine Event Comedy presents Portland’s Ian Stuart at Somerset Abbey, Friday, January 12 at 7 p.m. The show will also feature Colby Bradshaw, Leah Douglass, and host Mark Turcotte.

Published writer and founder of the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, Stuart has performed in Chicago, Texas, Ohio, New Mexico, and Montreal. He’s a familiar face at New York City’s RoastMasters show and his self-produced videos have surpassed hundreds of thousands of views online. Stuart recently worked with comedy legend Doug Stanhope and regularly produces shows throughout Maine.

Bradshaw’s charm and deadpan delivery have been on display at New York CIty’s The Stand and Gotham Comedy Club. He took first place at Empire’s Comedy Winter Classic in Portland and opened for nationally touring comedian Juston McKinney in November.

Douglass is quickly becoming a favorite in the Maine scene. She recently performed in the Portland Comedy Festival.

Turcotte was selected for the Boston, Cleveland, and North Carolina comedy festivals.

The show is for ages 16-plus and will contain adult language and content. Attendees under age 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
